Foodbank International Student Pop-Up Store

We’ve been busy hitting the streets of Melbourne to bring FREE and culturally diverse food and pantry items to international students via our new International Student Pop-Up Store!

As highlighted in the latest Foodbank Hunger Report 2020, COVID-19 has significantly impacted Australia’s international students – many of whom relied on casual jobs for financial security. In fact, 39% of Foodbank’s charities reported an increase in the number of international students seeking food relief since COVID-19 was declared a pandemic.

Here at Foodbank Victoria, we believe everyone should have access to healthy and nutritious food – that’s why we’re thrilled to be hosting the Pop-Up Store in Melbourne’s CBD.

All international students are welcome to come along, say hello and choose from a diverse range of fresh product, pantry and staple items. Students simply need to bring along a shopping bag or cart, along with a Student ID. The space is COVID-safe of course, with contactless sign ins, social distancing markers and hand sanitiser stations on-site.

Located at Aurora Melbourne Central, 230 LaTrobe Street, Melbourne, the Pop-Up Store is open 10am – 2pm every Monday, Wednesday and Friday (excluding public holidays).

Thank you to the generous support of the Victorian Government, through Study Melbourne, and our friends at UEM SunriseColesTIC GroupLandells SignsDutt Transport – YennoraCredo – Retail Project Solutions, for making it all possible!
