As Australia’s largest food relief organisation, Foodbank played a life-saving role during the 2019/20 bush fire crisis, delivering emergency food and water to communities completely cut off by the fires.

Unfortunately, for too many Australians, it doesn’t take a bushfire to cause food insecurity. At some point each year, more than five million Australians are in crisis, dealing with the anguish and despair of not knowing where their next meal is coming from for themselves and their families.

This year, in my role as President of the Law Society of NSW, I will do all I can to help raise funds for and promote awareness of Foodbank’s incredibly valuable work.
